App Description
Record video with a cinematic LUT live. Change the look mid-shot. No watermark.
LUT Cam is a cinematic video camera that grades while you shoot. Pick a cinematic look, set how strong it is, press record: the look you see in the viewfinder is the look in your clip. No editing afterwards, no export step, no watermark.
The app opens straight on the record screen. Swipe through the looks, and change the look or its intensity at any moment, even in the middle of a recording.
CINEMATIC LOOKS, LIVE
• 20 curated looks with their own names: Teal Orange, Slate, Noir, Harbor, Moonlit, Matinee, Bleach, Sunset, Soft Glow, Pastel and more
• 10 looks are free, forever
• Intensity from 0 to 100%, live in the viewfinder
• Switch looks while recording; the clip follows every change
• Before/after compare: drag the line across a sample photo to see exactly what a look does
• Eight sample scenes to judge a look on, from canal houses at blue hour to desert dunes, a foggy forest and northern lights
YOUR OWN LUTS
• Import .cube LUT files from your phone or cloud storage
• Your looks sit in the carousel next to the curated ones, with a live thumbnail
• Three imported looks are free; Pro keeps as many as you like
• Record with your own grade live, the same way as with a curated look
FORMAT
• 720p or 1080p at 24 or 30 fps with sound, free
• H.264 for files that open everywhere
• Video stabilization where the camera offers it
• 9:16 vertical for stories and reels, or 16:9 with the phone held sideways
• An estimate of how many MB each minute takes
• A clear message if the phone's encoder will not take a format, instead of a broken file
FRAME LIKE A FILM
• Frame lines for 2.39:1 and 1.85:1 cinema crops and a 4:5 feed crop
• Rule of thirds grid
• Level, so the horizon stays straight
• Guides are shown in the viewfinder only and never recorded
ON THE RECORD SCREEN
• Big record button with a running REC counter
• Torch and front/back camera switch
• The last clip is one tap away and opens in your video player
• The screen stays on while you record
• Leaving the app stops the recording and saves what you shot
PERFECT FOR
• Short films and music videos that come out of the camera already graded
• Travel clips, vlogs and city walks with one consistent look
• Vertical reels and stories shot in 9:16
• Editors and colorists who want to shoot with their own .cube LUTs
QUICK ANSWERS
What is a LUT? A lookup table that turns every color into a new one: a color grade saved in a file. LUT Cam applies it to each frame live, so your clip is graded the moment you stop recording.
Does it record 4K? 2160p is part of Pro and is offered only when your phone's camera stream allows it.
Where are my clips saved? On your phone, in Movies/LUT Cam, as ordinary video files.
LUT CAM PRO
An optional Google Play purchase: monthly, yearly or a one-time lifetime unlock.
• Every curated look
• 60 fps for smooth motion, where the camera offers a steady 60
• HEVC: smaller files, same picture
• 2160p where the phone's camera stream allows it
• Unlimited .cube imports
Pro looks and formats can be tried live in the viewfinder before you decide; recording with them asks for Pro. Subscriptions renew until you cancel them in Google Play. Prices are shown by Google Play for your country.
FREE STAYS FREE
No watermark, no ads, no time limit on clips and no account.
PRIVACY
Your clips are recorded and saved on your phone, in Movies/LUT Cam, and are never uploaded. LUT Cam has no account and no advertising ID. The internet is used only for anonymous usage and crash reports, which you can switch off in Settings, and for purchases through Google Play. The microphone is asked for only when you record with sound on.
