AlertCAS is a mobile application for emergency information and management from the Castellón de la Plana City Council, designed as a digital channel for immediate communication between citizens and municipal services. It facilitates the management of relevant information and communication in situations of risk, incident, or emergency. Its purpose is to improve alert capacity, reduce the time between event detection and response activation, and facilitate faster and more efficient assistance by sending relevant information.

Functionally, the application incorporates the following components:

• Immediate alerts (real-time communication): allows users to generate and send instant alerts to the City Council in the event of a dangerous or emergency situation, expediting incident reporting and avoiding delays inherent in non-dedicated channels.

• Operational security notifications: enables users to receive official communications on their device regarding risks, significant incidents, or situations requiring attention in their immediate vicinity, via notifications.

• Integrated emergency calls: Includes shortcut icons to emergency numbers, such as 112 or 092, allowing for immediate calls directly from the application when needed.

Operational requirement: To ensure the tool's usefulness, the application must be downloaded and installed, and users must be properly registered. This guarantees immediate access to functionalities in a critical situation, without any prior steps that could delay information transmission.
