Live Conversation Subtitles – Accessible Communication for Hearing-Impaired Users
Created by Dr. Rohan S. Navelkar, ENT Surgeon, Mumbai
(Android app development is my personal hobby.)

This app is designed to assist people with hearing impairment and their loved ones by displaying real-time subtitles during conversations. It acts as a simple communication aid, helping users follow spoken words more comfortably in day-to-day interactions.

How It Works
1. Live Subtitles for Conversations

The app converts spoken words into text on the screen so users can read along during a conversation.
It offers a supportive communication bridge — especially during face-to-face discussions.

2. Speak Clearly for Best Results

For accurate text display, please:
• Speak slowly
• Speak clearly and a little louder than usual
• Use the app in a quiet environment
• Ensure the microphone icon is visible while speaking

An app can never match a human ear, but it can help make communication easier when used correctly.

3. Continuous Recording with Smart Breaks

The app listens continuously during conversations and processes text in small segments.
Brief pauses during processing are normal.

4. Takes a Little Practice

Like any communication tool, it takes time to become comfortable with the interface.
With regular use, conversations become smoother and easier to follow.

5. Built in India – Supports Multiple Indian Languages

The app offers subtitle support in several widely spoken Indian languages, including:
• Hindi
• Marathi
• Gujarati
• Malayalam
• Assamese
• Bengali
• Tamil
• Telugu
• Punjabi

Who This App Is For

• Individuals with hearing impairment
• Family members communicating with hearing-impaired users
• Teachers, caregivers, or companions managing communication support
• Anyone who prefers visual text during conversations
