BAUR Fault Location App makes pin-pointing a more efficient and gentler process

With BAUR Fault Location App, pin-pointing becomes a safer, more efficient and gentler process.

Using BAUR Fault Location App for pin-pointing allows you to remotely control all essential functions of the titron® surge voltage generator via your smartphone or tablet:
• Switching the surge voltage generator on and off
• Setting the surge voltage and the surge interval (3s, 4s, 6s, 12s, single surge)
• Selecting the surge voltage range

This way, you have the possibility of only switching on the high voltage when you reach the pre-located fault location. Once the fault has been located, the high voltage can be switched off again. This means that the stress on the cable and the system is reduced to the necessary minimum and the level of safety is increased..

Location and fault position at a glance
Since the introduction of the BAUR Software 4 - Release 4.13 the cable data of the titron® and now also of the transcable are transmitted to the BAUR Fault Location App and, in combination with the street map, are displayed in the app. This allows you always to have the latest information on the
• cable route (if available)
• pre-located fault position
• location of the cable test van

Monitoring and adjusting the measurement parameters during the fault location
In the fault location mode, you always have an overview of the most important measurement parameters (available for the titron® only):
• High voltage status
• Output voltage, max. permissible voltage
• Surge sequence, surge energy
• SSG capacitor charge and discharge curve
