The competition has 11 matchdays. The 16 teams were divided into four pots, they will face each other within their own pot and will have five more rounds against opponents from the other pots, totaling eight games in the first phase. The eight best-placed teams advance to the quarterfinals and the two worst are relegated. In case of a tie in points, the tiebreaker criteria are:
1) most wins,
2) best goal difference,
3) most goals scored,
4) fewest red cards,
5) fewest yellow cards,
6) drawing of lots.

The quarterfinals and semifinals are played in a single match and, in case of a tie, the spot is decided by a penalty shootout. The Final consists of two legs, and in case of a tie in points, the tie-breaking criteria are:

1) better goal difference in the head-to-head matches;

2) penalty shootout.
