App Description
Guiding you how to carry out research and academic work!
The letters are divided by thematic axes: Ideas, Project, Research and Presentation.
This app is 100% free and safe, when it comes to the data of the people who access it. The objective is to popularize and democratize the act of doing science.
There are ways to interact and use the app, whether individually, in groups or in the classroom.
The project is conceived by Professor Francisco Tupy and developed by HOD Studio.
The app had the help of volunteers and funders via Catarse.
North to Science features cards that can be:
- read in sequence.
- randomly drawn.
If you use the application alone or with your research group.
1. Follow each card step by step to support your research project.
2. Draw the cards as if they were a surprise question and see if you contemplated and how you contemplated what appeared on the card.
3. Cards can be accessed in a general list or divided by thematic axes: Ideas, Project, Research and Presentation.
If you are a teacher, you can use it in your orientation processes. But also in the classroom in activities that fit into active methodologies such as:
- prepare a specific text for a research project/report, in which each member of the group is responsible for a part, thus stimulating group work and cooperation;
- offer a specific research topic, a problem that needs solving and see what are the possibilities that are guided in the app.
- create the questions for the project of other colleagues or for yourself.
Within the scope of gamification you can develop:
- dynamics that earn points such as question and answer games or who finds a certain card faster;
- create your own cards;
- develop LARP-style simulations (live-action rpg), that is, simulating a laboratory in which each of the students has a role and needs, via research, to find an answer to the most diverse possible topics (for example: the cure for a new disease, an alien species that has just been found, a meteor that will crash into the moon).
- draw a card and a scientific personality (real or fictional). Then, think about how the character in question would react to that situation and how he would respond to the questions that are proposed, including playing the
