GovCraft is a deep political simulation game that puts you in the seat of a head of government. Every decision you make has real consequences — raise taxes to fund healthcare and watch your business community revolt, cut spending to balance the books and see poverty rise. There are no easy answers. Just trade-offs, crises, and a public that's always watching.

GOVERN YOUR NATION
Set policy across 8 departments — Economy, Healthcare, Education, Environment, Security, Welfare, Transport, and Foreign Policy. Each slider you move affects your national statistics, your budget, and the approval of millions of voters. Push a policy too hard and you'll drain the treasury. Neglect a sector and your citizens will let you know at the ballot box.

MANAGE YOUR BUDGET
Revenue doesn't appear from nowhere. Tax policy, trade, and economic growth are your income. Healthcare, welfare, defence, and infrastructure are your costs. National debt accumulates interest every quarter. Spend recklessly and you'll find yourself in a debt spiral. Run too lean and your approval ratings will crater. Finding the balance is the core challenge of every term.

FACE REAL CRISES
Random events keep every playthrough unpredictable. A financial crash. A pandemic. A tech boom. A corruption scandal. A housing crisis. Each event forces you to make a hard call — and the choice you make today will echo through your stats for quarters to come. No two games play out the same.

WIN THE VOTERS
Distinct voter groups — Workers, Businesses, Youth, Retirees, Progressives, Conservatives and many more — each care about different things. Win one group and you risk alienating another. Your overall approval rating is a weighted average of all of them, and you need to stay above 50% when election day arrives. Polling well isn't enough — you need to actually deliver.

SURVIVE THE ELECTION
Every 16 quarters (4 years), the nation votes. Win and you earn another term to keep shaping the country. Lose and your time in office is over. How many terms can you survive? How long can you hold the coalition together before it falls apart?
