Crazy eights is a shedding-type card game with the goal of discarding all cards from hand before others. A standard 52-card deck is used for this game where 5 cards are dealt to each player at the start of the game and the remaining cards are placed face down at the center of the table as stock-pile. The top card in the stock-pile is then turned face up as the first card in the discard pile.

Players discard their hands by playing a matching rank or suit card with the top card in the discard pile. Players can play 8 at any time, which allows them to select the suit that the next player has to play.
