SongSmith finds rhyming words in real-time and color-codes them so you can easily see which words rhyme and visualize complicated rhyming patterns. It also keeps track of your rhyming scheme based on the last word of each line in the right-hand column.

SongSmith also tells you the syllable stresses and number of syllables for each word and updates this in real-time as you type so you can see how the words flow easily. It even keeps track of the number of syllables for each line in the left-hand column too.

SongSmith's search feature is extremely powerful. Enter any word and SongSmith will show you all the exact rhymes, all the near rhymes, all the synonyms, and all the definitions for that word. Allowing you to find new creative wording for your lyrics.

SongSmith gives you the option to create your lyrics one verse at a time. Those verses can then be moved or deleted to allow the user to tinker with their overall structure or experiment with new ideas and scrap ones they no longer need.
