In May 1948, Dr. Lothar Rohde founded the Export-Club Bayern e.V. with entrepreneurs and business leaders of large companies. The founders pursued the goal of stimulating the Bavarian economy again after the Second World War. Under the patronage of the Bavarian Economics Minister, which continues to this day, contacts were made with other countries that promoted the international business of Bavarian companies and in many cases even made it possible in the first place. Since then, the Bavarian Export Club has offered a network for companies, their managers, institutions and the self-employed who want to actively help shape economic life in Bavaria.
With around 350 company, individual and junior memberships, the Bavarian Export Club is one of the leading business organizations in Germany.
In events, we address current topics from business, science, politics and culture. Top-class speakers, guests, discussion groups and company visits provide insights, show trends and also offer an informal exchange.
