PYes - Electronic Money System offered by Al-Amal Microfinance Bank (AMB)

PYes - Electronic Money System offered by Al-Amal Microfinance (AMB)

PYes e-money system is a platform developed by Al-Amal Microfinance Bank (AMB) to achieve AMB's AMB’s vision of financial inclusion by providing comprehensive financial services to all Yemenis. This initiative is part of the banking sector's efforts to create practical alternatives to cash transactions, thereby modernizing banking operations through the use of advanced technology that is capable of sustaining growth.

Al-Amal Microfinance Bank's (AMB) PYes system allows customers to open accounts linked to their mobile phone numbers, enabling them to carry out various banking transactions such as cash deposits and withdrawals, money transfers, loan repayments, receiving domestic and international remittances, purchasing services and products, buying tickets, making online purchases, and paying bills for utilities, landline, mobile services, and Internet services.

The AMB PYes system also expands the offer of social remittance services, which are carried out through a network of the bank's agents spread across all regions of the country.
Customers can carry out these transactions either through smartphones or by using SMS text messages.

The name "PYes" is derived from a colloquial Yemeni term that refers to amounts of money, whether in paper or coin.
