App Description

Providing emergency responders with access to critical vehicle safety info

The ANCAP RESCUE app provides emergency services and first responders with quick access to important vehicle safety information for a range of new and used vehicle makes and models available in Australia and New Zealand.

To assist emergency services and first responders with the safe rescue and extrication of vehicle occupants involved in a road crash, standardised colour-coded Rescue Sheets which meet ISO Standard No. ISO 17840-1 are provided within the app and identify potential in-vehicle hazards including:
• Fuel tanks
• High voltage batteries
• Airbag inflators
• Seatbelt pre-tensioner inflators
• Gas struts
• High-strength steel

The ANCAP RESCUE app has been developed to benefit everyday Australians and New Zealanders.

Nobody wants to be involved in a crash, but if you are, the faster emergency services can access and treat you, the greater the chances of survivability.

Our first responders put their lives on the line responding to vehicle crashes every day. This app will not only help improve response time for casualties, but reduce the risks to our emergency responders – ensuring they return home to their families and loved ones at the end of each day.
