App Description

Live magnetometer in µT

Magnetic Field Meter turns the magnetometer in your phone into a clear, live meter. The total field strength is shown in microtesla, smoothed just enough to stay readable, with a plain-language level from Ambient to Very strong.

Set a baseline where you are standing and the app shows how far every later reading sits above or below it. A live 30-second graph, a session peak and an optional X/Y/Z axis view help you find which direction a magnetic source is in.

Useful for finding magnets in cases and mounts, checking speakers, motors and chargers, comparing rooms, or simply seeing the Earth's field react as you move the phone. Earth's field is usually somewhere around 25–65 µT depending on where you are.

Readings stay on your device and only exist in memory while the app is open. Nothing is recorded, saved or uploaded.

Phone sensors differ between models, and cases, metal and nearby electronics change the result. Magnetic Field Meter is an indicative meter, not a professional gaussmeter, compass, metal detector or safety instrument, and must not be used to judge electrical safety, hidden wiring, health exposure or navigation.
