App Description

The Pipefitter Calculator. Offline. Offset, rolling, saddle. By a UA member.

Field math for working pipefitters. On your phone, no internet required.

Eight modules. Open the app, pick a tab, do the math.

OFFSET. Single-plane pipe offset. Pick the fitting angle (11.25, 22.5, 30, 45, 60, 72 degrees), enter the offset distance, get travel, run, and cut length minus your take-offs.

ROLLING. Rolling offset for two-plane runs. Enter rise and roll, get true offset, rotation from plumb, and travel for a 22.5, 30, 45, or 60 degree fitting.

TAKE-OFF. Center-to-end dimension for elbows. Long-radius 90, short-radius 90, and long-radius 45 from 1/2" through 24" NPS.

MITER. Mitered turn for cutting your own elbow from straight pipe. Set the total turn, the number of welds, and the centerline radius. Get the bend per weld and the cut angle from perpendicular.

SADDLE. Branch saddle cope depth for stub-in fittings. Enter header OD, branch OD, and entry angle (90 perpendicular, 60 lateral, or 45 lateral). Outputs cope depth around the branch in 15 degree increments with the developed cope view wrapped around the branch.

EXPAND. Thermal expansion for steam runs, turbine piping, and any temperature swing that matters. Carbon steel, P11/P22 Cr-Mo, P91, 304 stainless, 316 stainless. Set length and temperature change, get delta L.

WEIGHT. Carbon steel pipe weight plus water weight per foot. For hanger and support sizing. Enter OD, wall thickness, and length.

REF. Quick lookups when you forgot the constant. Angle travel and run multipliers. Math constants. ASME B31.1 and B31.3 test pressure. ASME Section IX (WPS/PQR). Section V (NDE).

WHAT YOU GET

100% offline. The app does not request internet permission because it does not need it. The Pipefitter Calculator runs underground, in a vault, on a turbine deck, on a roof, in a basement mechanical room.

No ads. Anywhere. Ever.

No tracking. No analytics. No accounts. No cloud sync.

No subscription. One-time purchase. The math you bought today is the math you own.

Dark mode by default because the screen reads better in a parts house, a cab, or under a vessel.

WHO IT IS FOR

Journeyman pipefitters tired of pinching numbers off a paper card. Apprentices learning their first rolling offset. Welders cutting their own miters. Foremen verifying take-offs before the cut.

NOT FOR

Plumbers who only need drain math. Estimators looking for spec sheets. Anyone hoping for a fluffy trade calculator with banner ads in the middle of a saddle cope calculation.

BUILT BY A UA MEMBER

This was written by a UA pipefitter who needed a clean pipe offset and rolling offset tool in the field and could not find one without ads, a subscription page, or a tracker. Every formula is what the trade actually uses. Verified against ASME B31.1 power piping practice and field reference cards.
