This metal detector app requires your device to have a magnetic sensor (magnetometer). Otherwise it will not work.

Description

This metal detector application uses your device's magnetic sensor to calculate the μT magnetic field around your Android device, so that it may detect the presence of metal nearby.
Metal detectors are useful for finding metal inclusions hidden within objects.

The metal detector app features four light bulbs, which lit if you're getting closer to the metal object. Below that is a screen that shows the μT (micro tesla) value when a steel or iron metal object is near the device. A graph is used to represent the changes in the magnetic field when you move closer or further from the metal object, which you are seeking.

Usage

Using the app is very simple. Simply open the metal detector and move the device to detect a metal object. The accuracy of the readings depend on your device's hardware, specifically - its magnetometer.
