Orthodox Synaxarion is an Android application, created for the glory of God and to help nourish the personal prayer life of the faithful.
The application encapsulates a full Orthodox calendar with the following features:
Lives of the Saints and major feast days;
Saint icons and hymns (Troparions & Kontakions);
Julian (Old Calendar) and Revised Julian (New Calendar) selectors, configurable and switchable in real-time;
No need for Internet connection after installation;
Search function to find specific saints and feasts;
Text-To-Speech functionality, for daily readings;
Share bios functionality;
Favorites management, to easily add to (for quick and easy access) or remove from the Favorites list any Saint or feast day.
PLEASE NOTE:
Since the Android operating system has only a Gregorian calendar selector, when the app is running in Julian (Old Calendar) mode, the use of the calendar to pick a
specific day will reflect the Gregorian calendar day of the week (the Julian calendar day of the week is offset by 1 day).
Once the day is picked on the calendar, the correct offset for the day of the week will be reflected at the top of the screen.
Application supports Android 5.1 and up
