The Keys of the City, the application of the "Mining Route of Monteleone di Spoleto" project, allows the visitor to discover, through the new multilingual digital technologies, in a more immersive and engaging way, the historical, mining archeology and geo-naturalistic evidence. of Monteleone di Spoleto and its vast territory, in particular its mountain area.
The territory crossed by various paths, mapped here, is characterized by valuable naturalistic / geological sites, important historical sites and important ancient communication routes of religious interest. The Mining Trail is a thematic circular route that connects the town of Monteleone di Spoleto, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, to the lignite mines of Ruscio and the iron mines of Terargo / M. Birbone, winds its way through the Valnerina Geological Park in an area of ​​environmental value characterized by wooded slopes and peaks with bushy grasslands and connects to routes of regional interest such as the Camino di San Benedetto and the Greenway del Nera.
The Keys of the City is an application for Ios / Android devices for the use of monuments and the territory with a high capacity for interaction with the user (augmented reality, geolocation, map of itineraries, navigator, use of bluetooth for indoor tourist routes). The great novelty of this system is the possibility for the visitor to download a single APP that manages guided tours, city tours and outdoor experiences at the same time, based on an open data system. The APP also allows you to carry out visiting experiences both online and offline, without the need to use the network continuously, manage outdoor and indoor itineraries thanks to the integration of the various telephone sensors, with the possibility of very high spatial resolution, manage multi-thematic information and different events.
The Keys of the City allows you to have an interactive guide of the territory, of the paths, of cycle paths and of the main monuments in the territory of Monteleone di Spoleto. Moreover, thanks to the AR systems and the gps sensor networks, it allows the visit of 37 points of interest and 13 tourist and excursion itineraries.
