Fortbound is a tactical merge-defense game where you combine buildings, expand your grid, and command squads of units to survive ever-harder waves. Earn resources, pick powerful blessings, and boost your army on the fly to push farther each run.

• Merge & build: Drag to merge buildings up to higher tiers and unlock roles like castle, defense, offense, support, and amplifiers.
• Unit generators: Barracks, Archer Camp, Stable, and Mage Tower summon swordsmen, archers, riders, and mages—each with a clear role on the field.
• Squads & formations: LINE, V, SWARM, COLUMN, and SQUARE. March in formation and spread into an effective battle line during combat.
• Smart target selection: Units distribute targets so they don’t overstack on a single enemy.
• 7×9 board & expansion: Open new tiles, clear trees, and work around permanent gaps to shape your strategy.
• Blessings (buffs): Level up during a run and choose one of three blessings; many can evolve up to three stars.
• Clear economy: Three currencies—Coins, Yellow Crystals, and Purple Crystals. Coins upgrade; Yellow rerolls and unlocks tiles; Purple covers advanced spends or shortfalls.
• Skill tree: Unlocks after Level 3 so you can invest in long-term power.
• Adaptive waves: Enemies scale to your current strength to keep the challenge fair yet exciting.
