Tolkappiyam: Anthology, Text, English Translations

Tolkāppiyam is the oldest Tamil grammar book composed by Tolkāpiyanar. It is considered to be the oldest evidence of Tamil's rich literary tradition, grammar and literary principles. This project was created at the initiative of the Central Institute of Classical Tamil Studies (CICT), Ministry of Education, Government of India.

This app provides the endings of Tolkapiyam with detailed explanation. Additionally, English translations are also included thus introducing the richness of Tamil grammar to the world. Search and navigation facilities are also incorporated for easy access to students, researchers and Tamil language enthusiasts.

The purpose of this book is to effectively bring the ancient grammatical tradition of Tamil to the new generation. A colorful, simple design and useful features are included for use in all three fields: education, research and interest.
