City Pulse - Interactive Event and Venue Discovery Platform
City Pulse is a comprehensive platform that connects entertainment lovers with the best events and venues in the city. The application allows for easy search, viewing and management of events and venues through a modern web interface and mobile applications.
Key features:
For end users, the application offers a simple overview of all available events and venues in the city. Users can search for events by category, date and location, without the need for registration. Each event contains detailed information including date, time, location, ticket price, description and photos. Venues are organized by categories such as clubs, restaurants, theaters and sports halls, with complete information about the address, contact details and opening hours.
For venue owners, City Pulse provides a complete system for managing their venues and events. Owners can create profiles of their venues, add photos, description, contact information and opening hours. They can also create and manage events, set ticket prices, define the maximum number of visitors and track statistics. The system supports multiple venues per user, with the possibility of an unlimited number of venues through activation codes.
Role system:
The application uses a three-tier role system for optimal management. Administrators have full control over the system - they can manage all users, approve registrations, create and edit categories, view all events and locations, and manage ambassadors and activation codes. Ambassadors are salespeople who visit venues and promote the application. Through their application, they can register new users, create venues on their behalf, and manage activation codes. Venue owners have access to a dashboard where they can manage their venues and events.
Activation codes:
The activation code system enables controlled expansion of the platform. Each user gets one venue for free, while additional venues require an activation code. Administrators generate unique codes that they can assign to ambassadors or directly to users. Each code can be used once, and the system tracks who used it and when. Ambassadors with unlimited access can create users without codes, while other ambassadors must use codes for each new registration.
Technical characteristics:
City Pulse is built on modern technology that ensures speed, security, and scalability. The web application uses the SvelteKit framework with TypeScript for type-safe development. The backend is implemented through SvelteKit API routes that are deployed together with the frontend on Firebase Hosting, which ensures a simple architecture without the need for a separate server. The database uses Firebase Firestore for real-time data synchronization, while Firebase Authentication provides secure user authentication. The application supports login via email and password and Google OAuth authentication.
Security and privacy:
The application is dedicated to the protection of user data. All data is encrypted in transit, and access to data is controlled through Firebase Security Rules. Users have full control over their data and can request account deletion at any time. The application does not sell user data to third parties and complies with all relevant data protection regulations.
Future:
The platform is designed for continuous expansion of functionality. Mobile applications for end users and bar owners, a ticket reservation system, integration with payment systems, and advanced analytics for bar owners are planned. City Pulse grows with the needs of its community, providing a comprehensive solution for discovering and promoting events in the city.
