App Description

Need a restroom in NYC? Tap the map to find 4,000+ public bathrooms nearby.

Need a restroom right now in New York City? This app puts every known public bathroom across the five boroughs onto one easy-to-read map — so you spend less time searching and more time living.

Whether you're commuting, sightseeing, parenting on the go, or just out for a
walk, you can pull up the map, see the closest free public restrooms around
you, tap a pin, and get walking directions in one tap.

— WHAT YOU CAN DO —

• Browse 4,000+ public restroom locations across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island.
• See your own position as a blue dot so you instantly know which bathroom is closest.
• Tap any pin to see the restroom's name, address, and a "Get Directions"
button that opens turn-by-turn walking navigation in Google Maps.
• Pinch to zoom in and out — clusters expand into individual pins as you
zoom closer.
• Map data is loaded from a built-in offline list, so the restroom locations
are always available even if your signal is weak. (Map tiles still need a
connection to draw.)

— WHO IT'S FOR —

• Tourists exploring NYC for the first time
• Parents and caregivers with kids who need a bathroom NOW
• Senior citizens, runners, cyclists, dog walkers, food delivery couriers
• Anyone with a medical condition that benefits from knowing the nearest
restroom in advance
• Locals who just want to know where to go without buying a coffee first

— WHAT'S INCLUDED —

The bathroom list is built from publicly available data published by the
City of New York and OpenStreetMap contributors. Locations include parks,
public libraries, transit hubs, ferry terminals, government buildings, and
verified businesses with publicly accessible restrooms.

— PRIVACY —

Your precise location stays on your device. The app uses it only to draw
your blue dot on the map and to centre the view — it is never uploaded,
saved, or shared. The app does not require an account, never asks for your
name, email, phone, or any personal data, and does not track which
restrooms you visit.

The app shows banner ads provided by Google AdMob to keep it free. Ads use your approximate (city-level, IP-derived) location and a device-level advertising identifier — you can reset or limit these in your Android Settings under Privacy → Ads at any time.

— PERMISSIONS —

• Internet — required to load map tiles.
• Approximate / Precise location — used only to show your position on the
map. You can decline and the app still works as a standalone map of
bathrooms.

— LIMITATIONS / DISCLAIMER —

Hours of operation, accessibility features, and current open/closed status
are not guaranteed. Always confirm before relying on a specific restroom,
especially for businesses that may be closed or have access policies. Many
of the listed locations are subject to building hours, weather closures,
seasonal closures, or sudden maintenance.

This is an unofficial, community-data-powered tool. It is not affiliated with the City of New York, the MTA, the Port Authority, or any other agency or business that operates a listed restroom.
