iVolos

Volos is one of the largest Greek cities.

Volos is one of the largest Greek cities and one of the country's most important ports. It is located in the center of Greece (320 km north of Athens and 219 km south of Thessaloniki). Natural port of Pagasitikos Gulf and a breath away from the mountain of Pelion.
As part of the project, an application for mobile phones with Android operating system was designed and developed. The application has the following features:
- Multilingualism as it has been implemented in four languages ​​(Greek, English, German and French), with the possibility of expansion to add additional languages ​​in a later phase.
- Ability to use the application both online and offline to avoid additional data charges.
- Use dynamic maps to view points of interest and sightseeing routes and filter points of interest by category.
- View the user's location on the map (if it has GPS).
- Presentation in a list of points of interest by category/subcategory with the ability to filter the results.
- Presentation of rich content per point of interest (texts, photos, videos, global video and virtual tours, map location and access directions).
- Suggested routes that the user can follow exploring the points of interest that make it up.
- Presentation of calendar of events
- Interfacing with social networks and sharing material on them.
- Create a personal account.
- Registered user access to personal travel guide features, favorites list, rate points of interest and add their experience.
