Call Bus - a navigation app for the visually impaired from Egged
The Call Bus app is designed to make public transportation accessible to the visually impaired. The app accompanies its users all the way; Includes planning and booking of the trip as well as during it, when it provides information about the route, the next stop and the estimated time of arrival.
How It Works?
Download Call Bus from the app store. For the first time, you are asked to enter the verification code received from visually impaired organizations. (The app can also be used without a verification code, but without a driver alert)
Once connected, the app allows you to search for the desired destination and plan the trip using voice recordings. When traveling on Egged lines, you can also choose to send an alert to the driver of the desired line who will inform him of the station where you are waiting.
Throughout the journey, the app will update you regularly regarding your location on the route and at the following stations.
