App Description

Lock cobalt frit melt cards

Zaffre Frit is an offline-first cobalt frit melt card for vitreous enamelists, cloisonné and champlevé bench hands, and kiln-enamel students who must lock a real zaffre (cobalt-blue) glass frit batch before the kiln. Cold start opens a fullscreen frit-card: mesh grade band, cobalt load %, flux ratio, base glass lot, batch weight, melt temperature, hold note, and a single Lock Batch action. No camera, no sensors—typed studio fields and local cards only. This is frit chemistry and melt timing for enamel, not stained-glass came layout. Why enamelists use it Paper scraps and guesswork let blues drift across kiln runs. Zaffre Frit locks one cobalt frit melt on a glanceable card so enamel blues stay repeatable from batch to batch—without network dependency. On the frit-card • Mesh sieve band picker (e.g. 80 / 100 / 200) with sticky last-used defaults • Cobalt load and flux ratio fields with quick ± steppers and soft over-range warnings • Base glass lot, batch grams, melt °C, and hold minutes on one surface • One-tap Lock Batch with lock stamp for the run you are about to fire Seeds, history, and compare • Seed library of classic zaffre enamel blue starts—opaque sky, deep royal, translucent wash—editable into new batches • New-batch flow that copies an unlocked draft or a seed recipe without leaving the card surface • Batch history with lock time, mesh, cobalt %, and outcome note (underfired / good melt / over-flux) • Side-by-side frit-card compare for two locked batches to spot mesh or cobalt drift • After-kiln outcome stamp: color depth, pinholes, scum—stored on the same card for the next melt Studio defaults and transfer • Preferred temp unit display label, default hold, and default mesh—fully local, no network • Plain-text batch summary copy sheet for notebook transfer (local clipboard of typed fields only) Lock the batch, fire with a clear record, and keep cobalt enamel blues consistent across kiln runs.
