CARDIOEQUIVALENCIAS, converter of active principles and dose equivalences

CARDIOEQUIVALENCIAS is an application developed by Ferrer Internacional, S.A., whose objective is to help physicians involved in cardiovascular health management exchange therapeutic active ingredients and equivalent doses.
Therapeutic equivalent is understood as a drug that is different in its chemical structure from the original, but which is expected to have a similar therapeutic effect and adverse effect profile when administered to a patient at equivalent doses.
Therapeutic exchange is understood as the substitution of a drug that is chemically different from the one prescribed, but considered therapeutically equivalent or a better therapeutic alternative, based on a previously established and accepted protocol.
CARDIOEQUIVALENCES contains three buttons that allow you to: convert the dose of an ARA II to the dose of an ACE inhibitor, convert the dose of an ACE inhibitor to the dose of another ACE inhibitor, and find the equivalences of lipid-lowering efficacy between the different statins, for the same reduction of the LDL cholesterol level.
In addition, CARDIOEQUIVALENCIAS indicates the equivalences in which it is possible to reduce polypharmacy by using a polypill and thus simplify treatment.
Due to its design, the application is very intuitive and easy to use.
