You'll explore Landshut's old town, Trausnitz Castle high above the city center, and the villages of Altdorf, Bruckberg, Ergoldsbach, and Vilsbiburg. Discover Stone Age life, a Celtic burial, a power struggle between nobility and the church in the Early Middle Ages, the founding of Landshut and the construction of Trausnitz Castle, the Landshut Wedding of 1475, the era of the Kröning pottery in the 19th century, and the origins of the historical pageant "Landshut Wedding" in the 20th century through guided walks or exciting outdoor games. Marvel at long-destroyed buildings recreated in full 3D, gaze down from the tower of St. Martin's Church in Landshut at the bustling activity in the old town, discover and explore virtual 3D objects, encounter video avatars that offer clues to solve quizzes, and see paintings that come to life and speak to you. GPS-based scavenger hunts guide you through the surroundings and help you solve challenging puzzles. All the stories are based on the expertise of a panel of archaeologists, historians, and museum professionals from the Landshut region.
