ByteProbe is a vendor-neutral Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) inspector and developer tool. Built for embedded developers, IoT engineers, and security researchers who need a fast, readable, instrument-grade view of what's happening on the air.

What you can do:

• Scan for nearby BLE advertisements — live list with name, MAC, RSSI, connectable flag, and a signal-strength histogram you can scan at a glance.
• Connect to any BLE peripheral and walk the full GATT tree. Services and characteristics rendered as a topology with colored property badges (READ / WRITE / NOTIFY / INDICATE).
• Read, write (hex payloads), and subscribe to notifications and indications on any characteristic.
• Auto-decoders for the standard services: Battery, Heart Rate, Device Information, Environmental Sensing (temperature / humidity / pressure), and Nordic UART ASCII traffic.
• Live Traffic tab — every GATT event, from connect to MTU change to discovery to each read/write/notify, with timestamps, direction arrows, hex payload, and status. Pause and clear on demand.
• Save device profiles: bookmark a device and snapshot its GATT tree so you can walk back onto the bench and remember every service without reconnecting.
• Session history — every connection is recorded and can be reviewed later.
