Conflits: a website and magazine dedicated to geopolitics.

With this application, you can directly access all the articles on revueconflits.com.
Are you a magazine subscriber? You can also find all your magazines in digital format.

At Conflits, we aim to provide in-depth insights into geopolitics, which, in a way, constitutes the general culture of our time, allowing us to have a holistic view of the world.

Conflicts is the crossroads of all geopolitics—for academics, the military, senior civil servants, and businesses—because geopolitics is not limited to relations between states. The "Manifesto for a Critical Geopolitics" that we defined in the first issue establishes our principles of analysis: long-term geopolitics that distrusts immediate emotions; field geopolitics that acknowledges its ties to geography; global geopolitics that studies all the forces at work, whether political, economic, social, or cultural; realistic geopolitics that distrusts well-intentioned sentiments; and geopolitics of suspicion that seeks to uncover the interests at work behind the rhetoric.

A Multiplicity of Subjects

Conflits is not, however, a journal intended solely for specialists. We intend to attract not only students to geopolitics, but also the general, informed public. Our presentation reflects this, as well as the originality of many of our sections: "Grand Strategy," which presents the geopolitics of an ancient empire; "Geopolitical Tourism," which presents a major city from the perspective of its influence and power; "The Language of the Media" to decipher false information; "Art and Geopolitics," because no civilization exists without culture, etc.

Conflits thus presents an original and compelling perspective on geopolitics. Geopolitics studies the balance of power in space. As such, it is understood on multiple scales, both international and national. This is why we also have a "Mains de France" section to highlight French artisans, SMEs, and mid-cap companies, embedded in their territories and open to globalization.

A Universal Editors

Whether academics, military personnel, researchers, writers, journalists, or entrepreneurs, our editors come from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds. Many foreign contributors enrich Conflits' analyses, providing a pluralistic perspective on the world. The resources are also numerous: maps, of course, an essential element of geopolitical analysis, but also podcasts, for in-depth conversations with the authors, and videos, to provide visuals of the world.
