【Using NasPlay with a Synology NAS】

NasPlay can connect to a Synology NAS to access videos and photos stored on the NAS.

When your Android device is connected to the same local network (LAN / Wi-Fi) as your NAS, you can connect using the local network address of your NAS.

To access your NAS remotely from outside your home or office network, such as over a mobile network or another Wi-Fi network, you must configure a network environment that allows your device to securely reach your NAS.

Possible solutions include:

• DDNS with appropriate router and firewall configuration
• A VPN connection
• Tailscale or another VPN/private networking service
• Another network configuration that provides secure remote access to your NAS

Installing NasPlay alone does not automatically make your NAS accessible over the Internet.

Remote access availability and configuration depend on your NAS, router, VPN service, Internet connection, firewall settings, and other network conditions. Please configure and secure your network appropriately before using remote access.
