Face detection runs on your device against a model bundled inside the app. There is no upload, no server and no account. The app never retouches, beautifies or replaces the background: the photo stays the photo.

SIZED TO THE SPEC
A biometric photo is simply a photo that meets a measured spec, and this is how you check that yours does. Every entry carries the real numbers: the photo size, the face-height band, where the eye line has to sit, the required background and the output resolution. The crop is calculated from your own face measurements, then resampled to the exact pixel dimensions the document asks for: 2x2 inch for the United States and India, 35x45mm for the UK and most of Europe.

Where an authority publishes a figure, the app uses it. Where none is published, the figure is derived from ICAO Doc 9303 portrait geometry, and the app's bundled source list says which is which.
