With "Orthoptera"—the scientific name for grasshoppers—162 grasshopper species in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria can be identified using an intuitive identification key. The species are illustrated with over 5,000 images, audio recordings, and drawings. Detailed information on appearance, song, habitat, and distribution supplements the information about each species. Users can freely select criteria such as body size or wing length, even in combination. This approach simplifies identification and makes the app extremely flexible. Furthermore, the range of species can be automatically narrowed down using GPS location. The app is designed for interested laypersons as well as experts and is the ideal companion in the field.

All content in Orthoptera is in German. The identification section also supports English, French, and Italian. PLEASE NOTE: The content is available exclusively in German!
