How it works

WAMR listens for incoming message notifications and saves the text on your device. If the sender deletes a message later, you still have it. Messages are grouped by app and sender, so you can browse conversations just like in the original app.

2. Exclude WAMR from battery optimization so Android does not stop it in the background

What to keep in mind

WAMR recovers text messages from notifications. It cannot recover images, videos, or voice messages. Messages sent before WAMR was installed cannot be recovered. If a messaging app does not send a notification for a message, WAMR cannot capture it. Recovery depends on your device keeping WAMR running and notifications enabled.
