InkDiet – Save Printer Ink

Strips the grey background from scans. Less ink, cleaner prints.

Phone scans look fine on screen and eat ink on paper. The culprit is the grey
background: shadows, paper tone, sensor noise. You barely notice it on a display,
but your printer puts every shade of grey on the page.

InkDiet removes exactly that. Photograph the page and the app pulls the background
to clean white while keeping text and lines intact. You see what you saved right
away — as a percentage for each document and as a running total on the home screen.

What a saved page is worth depends on your printer and your cartridge. That is why
you set the ink cost per page yourself — the euro figure in the app is an estimate
based on that number, not a measurement.

NO CLOUD
All image processing runs on your device. Your scans are not uploaded and never
sent to a server.

The app is ad supported. An ad appears at the earliest once a document is finished
— never while you are working on one.
