News and latest news from Spain and the world

Born on October 12, 2021, El Periódico de España is the first national print and digital newspaper of Prensa Ibérica. Directed by the journalist Gemma Robles and from a firm commitment to quality information, the newspaper is called to contribute to the territorial structuring and progress of our society.

The header was born with the objective of accounting for the change of cycle that has opened in the country and to accompany the political, social and economic transformations that are beginning to emerge. At a time when the territories claim to have more voice; when some flags become consensus values; when political options grow and dialogue is an urgent need, a newspaper appears to collect the sign of the new times.

A project that works for democracy from the rigor, but also from the defense of equality, plurality and freedom through its pages. Some principles that already appear in our Constitution and that, far from losing validity, have become more necessary than ever, at a difficult time for political cohesion and stability, but where common struggles and a social conscience towards today's priority issues have emerged. such as sustainability or women's rights.
