App Description

Mindful Scroll - Daily Pause before social media, build a habit that sticks

Mindful Scroll helps you break the endless scroll (doomscrolling) by adding intentional daily mindful pause to the social apps you use most. Track how much time you spend each day, stop impulsive opens, and build a healthier relationship with social media.

Accessibility Service Usage
Mindful Scroll uses Android’s AccessibilityService API for one core function:
to detect when a user opens a user-selected protected app (for example, Instagram or TikTok) and show a brief mindful pause screen before access.

With explicit user consent, Mindful Scroll uses AccessibilityService only to:
* Detect the current foreground app.
* Recognize when selected protected apps are opened.
* Display the in-app pause intervention/reminder.

Mindful Scroll does NOT use AccessibilityService to:
* Read typed text, messages, passwords, or personal content.
* Collect or transmit personal data to third parties.
* Change device settings without user action.
* Prevent users from disabling AccessibilityService.

All processing for this feature is performed on-device.
AccessibilityService is optional, user-enabled, and can be disabled at any time in Android Settings.
