App Description

At risk anatomy of hand injuries & incisions with videos, diagrams & text.

"Does your patient have a lacerated hand or wrist?"
"Are you about to make an incision in the hand or wrist?"
The Anatomic at Risk APP will identify the anatomical
structures and physical exams relevant to any potential
damaged structure in all the specific hand and wrist
sections.
The Anatomic at Risk App simplifies the evaluation and
surgical exploration of skin lacerations and the safe
surgical dissection of the hand or wrist by identifying
the at risk anatomic structures involved with all dorsal
and palmar anatomic locations.

The Anatomic at Risk App provides an instant education and
review of the anatomic structures related to any laceration or
incision that the treating physician, the point of care
medical provider, or the surgical trainee will need for
their injured or operative patient.

By simply identifying the location of a laceration
or incision, a list of the anatomical structures related to any
hand or wrist area are instantaneously identified. The anatomy
and exam for each unique location is elucidated by immediately
available, concise and separate anatomy and exam summary videos.

Additional understanding of each section’s tendons, nerves, arteries,
veins, joints, and bones is amplified by educational text,
key points lists, anatomy and surgical images and diagrams
which further explain each structure’s unique anatomical and
physical exam details.
Each tendon, nerve, artery, vein, joint, and bone discussion
is supported by references, the universal muscle grading scale,
anatomic abbreviation lists and links to Hand Surgery Resource.

Anatomy at Risk, Hand Surgery Resource, and its App, Hand Surgery
Source, are educational assets of the International Federation of
Societies for Surgery of the Hand (IFSSH).
