App Description

Train your estimates: set a low and high bound and check โœ… how sure you can be

Train your estimates: set a low and high bound and check โœ… how sure you can be.

Chicken Road is a trainer for estimating numbers ๐Ÿ”ข and knowing how sure you are.

Every question asks for a quantity, such as how many breaths an adult takes in a day or how old the universe is. You do not pick from four buttons. You drag โœ‹ a low end and a high end along a band, then say how confident you are. A narrow bracket that still holds the answer scores best. A wide bracket or a miss costs points.

After each answer you see ๐Ÿ‘€ where the true value falls, a plain score ๐Ÿ”ข breakdown ๐Ÿงพ, and a short note ๐Ÿ“ that explains the real figure. At the end of a round you get your points, how many brackets held the answer, and your median bracket width.

What you can do in the app ๐Ÿ“ฑ:
- Play โ–ถ๏ธ a daily set of five questions and follow your seven-day streak ๐Ÿ”ฅ.
- Set up your own round: choose from six topics, pick Everyday, Stretch or Brutal questions, and play โ–ถ๏ธ 5, 10 or 15 at a time โฑ๏ธ.
- Lock your confidence at 90% to skip that step on every question.
- Use "Narrow for me" when you are stuck, or skip a question.
- Open the calibration report ๐Ÿงพ to compare โš–๏ธ your stated confidence with your real hit rate.
- Read an overconfidence reading and a chart ๐Ÿ“Š of your bracket width over recent rounds.
- Work through Fermi chains. Break a big question into factors, set each one with power-of-ten steppers, and watch ๐Ÿ‘€ the running product update.
- See ๐Ÿ‘€ how close your chain lands to the accepted answer, factor by factor, with a star rating.
- Review the questions you missed or flagged, and look back over past rounds in your history โณ.

The calibration report ๐Ÿงพ is built from your own answers, so it gets more useful the more you play โ–ถ๏ธ. Chicken Road works without an account.

If you want to get better at guessing and at judging your own guesses, Chicken Road gives you a short daily practice ๐Ÿ‹๏ธ to do it.
