Your main objective is to catch fish and place them in your bucket before the countdown reaches zero. Every successfully caught fish is automatically transferred to your personal Archive, where it becomes available for future decisions. Fast reflexes are important, but choosing how to manage your collected fish is equally essential.

The Archive serves as more than just a collection. Each fish can be used in different ways depending on your strategy. You may decide to consume fish to restore or modify your Energy, or permanently remove them from your inventory if they are no longer useful. Each fish has its own energy value displayed on its information card, allowing you to carefully plan every decision.

Energy is one of the most valuable resources in Ice Fishing. Managing it effectively can determine whether you complete a difficult round or fall just short of victory. Consuming fish grants or subtracts Energy depending on the type of fish, encouraging players to think carefully before making each choice.

The game also introduces a unique time extension mechanic. If your countdown reaches zero but you still have enough Energy, you are given a second chance. By spending two Energy points, you can immediately gain one additional second of gameplay.
