AI speaking coach for schools

Opallo is the AI speaking coach from your language school. Talk with it between lessons, by voice or by typing: it corrects every mistake and practises exactly what your class is learning.

Opallo works with partner language schools. You join your class with its access code - ask your teacher for yours. Your class sets the language and level you practise at, and there is nothing to buy in the app.

A conversation that corrects you
• Speak, and the coach answers in a natural voice and keeps the conversation going. Or type, when speaking out loud isn't an option.
• Every mistake gets a correction card: the right form with the changes marked, and a short reason why, in your own language.
• Pronunciation too: words you mispronounce show up on the card, measured against how a native speaker says them.
• Stuck for words? Try saying offers three replies at your level, folded away so you try on your own first.
• Hold any message to see its translation and a word-by-word breakdown, or to hear it again.
• Send a photo of a worksheet or a PDF, and the coach works through it with you.

Built around your class
• Your school's app: its name and logo, plus announcements and notes from your teacher. Save a note to your own in one tap.
• The coach knows your level and your course plan, and steers each conversation toward what your class is learning.
• Practice lessons: every topic of your course has its own conversation. A progress grid shows how each topic is going, and Suggested picks what to practise next.
• A daily reminder names the topic to practise. Choose the time, or turn it off.

Notes that write themselves
• Your corrections are saved as notes automatically.
• Words, phrases and lessons, with audio, examples and word-by-word translations.
• Add your own: type a note, ask for one on any topic, or add a photo of a textbook page or a PDF.
• Labels, stars, search, and related notes that link up on their own.
• Every note, phrase and word has Practice and Explain, to take it straight to the coach.

Look up a word, then use it
• Say or type a word, in the language you're learning or in your own.
• Clear entries with audio, meanings, grammar and examples, at your level.
• Practise the word with the coach until you use it freely, or turn it into a note.

Talk with your classmates
• Message anyone in your class. Each message is checked before it's sent, so you can fix it first.
• You can speak a message, but only text reaches the other person: your voice is never shared.
• The coach helps both of you with translations and reply ideas.

Your pace, your data
• Ask the coach to speak more simply or more ambitiously. What counts as a mistake is always set by your level.
• Replay anything, slower if you need to.
• Your teacher sees how you're doing on your course topics, but never your conversations or recordings.
• Clear your data or delete your account at any time.
