App Description
Attempt to fix dead pixels and reduce screen burn-in with RGB color cycling.
Dead Pixel Fixer PI is a local display utility and display tester designed to help identify and attempt to revive stuck pixels, as well as reduce the visibility of screen burn-in on your device.
How it works:
The application utilizes a hardware-level diagnostic engine that temporarily overrides your system settings to force the display to maximum brightness. It then cycles through a pure RGBWB (Red, Green, Blue, White, Black) color sequence. This rapid shifting of high-contrast colors at peak brightness acts as a stuck pixel fixer and ghost image remover, attempting to stimulate dead sub-pixels and reset display ghosting.
Testing & Diagnostics:
The automated sequence also functions as a visual display tester. As the cycle runs, the pure color outputs allow you to visually inspect your screen's health:
- The Pure Black phase highlights areas for a visual backlight bleed test.
- The Pure Red, Green, and Blue phases expose display anomalies during a dead pixel test.
Key Features:
- Automated Diagnostic Cycle: Runs a timed, fixed-duration LCD and OLED burn in fix attempt.
- Pure Color Generator: Displays 100 percent pure RGB values for maximum hardware stimulation.
- Hardware Brightness Override: Automatically maximizes screen brightness during the active cycle for optimal recovery attempts.
- Smooth Transitions: Utilizes a 300-millisecond color crossfade to reduce harsh strobing and visual fatigue.
- Clean Interface: Features a minimalist, easy-to-use design with active cycle tracking and a Dark Mode option.
Important Disclaimer:
Please note that while this color-cycling method is widely used by technicians to attempt to fix LCD screen anomalies and OLED burn-in, results are not guaranteed. Physical hardware damage, permanently broken pixels, or severe burn-in cannot be repaired by software.
Safety Warning:
This application displays changing, high-contrast colors at maximum screen brightness. Do not stare directly at the screen while the diagnostic cycle is active. Users with photosensitive epilepsy or sensitivity to bright, shifting lights should exercise extreme caution or avoid using this application entirely.
