App Description
Your experience of visiting the territory of Spoleto and Valnerina Umbra.
MuDì, your new interactive tour experience of the territory of Spoleto and Valnerina in Umbria
Created with the "Museum Connections" project co-financed by the Umbria Region, MuDì "The Diffused Museum of the Two Valleys" is the new application aimed at promoting and enhancing the artistic heritage of the city of Spoleto and Valnerina. Thanks to Augmented Reality, Geofencing and Bluetooth networks, it is an application with a high capacity for environmental interaction capable of providing users with numerous information and services in real time, through proximity notifications and touchless logics.
MuDì allows you to have an interactive guide of the territory, of the paths, of cycle paths and of the main monuments present in the two valleys. Furthermore, thanks to the AR systems and the ibeacon sensor networks, it allows the indoor visit of the following 11 museums in 5 municipal districts:
In the Municipality of Spoleto: the Palazzo Collicola "Visual Arts" Museum, the Roman House, the Textile and Costume Museum, the Museum of Earth and Territory Sciences, the Morgnano Mining Museum, the Museum of the former railway Spoleto-Norcia;
In the Municipality of Sant’Anatolia di Narco, the Hemp Museum;
In the Municipality of Vallo di Nera, the House of Tales;
In the Municipality of Monteleone di Spoleto, the Biga Museum;
In the Municipality of Cerreto di Spoleto, the Documentation Center "Il Ciarlatano" and the Museum of Mummies.
During your visit, the APP will detect the GPS points outside and ibeacon sensors inside the museums, which will automatically activate the audio guide and open the reference descriptive cards. Visitors both inside and outside the church will also be able to take advantage of Augmented Reality, by pointing the camera of the device at the monument and artistic artifacts: in this way it will be possible to observe reconstructions and additional information directly through the camera.
The goal is to "tell, with the help of new languages, the network of museums and its territories, the works and stories connected to them, creating a unique cycle between physical and digital experience.
