Japan is an amazing country to explore, public transport is always on time and the big cities have so much to offer that you may not have enough holidays to explore them all. But if you've decided to avoid the crowds, ditch the train and explore more than touristy Tokyo or Kyoto, we've got something for you!

The Camp and Travel Japan application is the ultimate toolkit for everyone who has decided to explore Japan with a campervan, car, motorbike, or bicycle. It is an interactive map with thousands - meticulously selected and collected over the years by the Japan Campers team, spots that you can find along the way:

- Park&Sleep - road stations (Michi no Eki), car parks, campsites, wild camping spots where you can spend the night in your van or tent
- Onsen - Japanese hot springs for daily hygiene
- Outdoor activities - hiking, cycling routes, viewpoints, waterfalls and more
- Tourist attraction - must-visit places, museums, shrines, temples and castles
- Photo spots - the most beautiful picturesque places that cannot be missed
- Restaurants and bars
- Other essentials such as supermarkets, information points, road closures and more
