App Description
Import LandXML TIN surfaces and instantly get elevation from Easting/Northing.
Surface Elevation Reader helps surveyors, engineers, and GIS users quickly look up elevations from a TIN surface on mobile.
What it does
• Import LandXML surfaces (TIN) from AndroidManifest.xml files (e.g., exported from Civil 3D/LandXML workflows)
• Store surfaces locally so you can reuse them without re-importing
• Select between multiple surfaces you’ve imported
• Enter Easting and Northing to compute the surface elevation
• Optionally enter an Actual elevation to see Δ (Actual − Computed) for fast checks/QA
• Clear feedback when a point is outside the surface (not inside any triangle)
How it works
• Reads LandXML points/faces and builds the TIN triangle set
• Calculates elevation at the requested coordinate based on the triangle containing the point
• Saves imported surfaces to a local SQLite database on your device
Notes
• Works with coordinate order variations (Easting/Northing vs Northing/Easting) found in LandXML.
• No account required; data stays on-device.
