Devotion is the only easy way to know God and attain love for God. Among the four types of devotional practices mentioned in the scriptures, Ekadashi fasting is the best.
Ekadashi is the tenth devotional practice after the nine devotional practices of hearing, chanting, remembering. This day is called Harivasar. Therefore, the utmost suitability of observing the Ekadashi fast for all those who desire devotion has been described in various Puranas. Ekadashi Tithi is the wish-fulfilling day for everyone. Observing this fast destroys all sins, brings all good fortune and the love of Lord Krishna. It is the duty of any person, regardless of gender, from the age of eight to eighty years, to observe the holy Ekadashi fast with devotion.
The importance of this Ekadashi fast is given in the rules of observing Ekadashi and the importance of all Ekadashi fasts, by reading which we can achieve spiritual progress.
