App Description

Private voice recording with local M4A files and interruption recovery.

Capture ideas, meetings, voice notes and the moments you do not want to forget. MicKeep is a focused Android voice recorder built around clear recording states and files that remain under your control.

RECORD WITH CONFIDENCE

Start in one tap, then pause, resume or stop and save. The recorder stays visible through Android's ongoing notification when you leave the app or turn off the screen.

RECOVER VALID AUDIO

MicKeep checkpoints complete audio frames while recording. If Android interrupts a session, MicKeep can rebuild the valid audio that reached local storage instead of treating an unfinished container as a finished recording. Hardware failure or exhausted storage can still cause loss, so MicKeep never makes an impossible zero-loss promise.

KEEP ORDINARY LOCAL FILES

Completed recordings are verified and published as standard M4A files under Music/MicKeep. There is no account, cloud upload or developer-operated audio backend.

YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY

Play recordings inside MicKeep, share a copy through Android, refresh the library or delete a file with confirmation.

FREE RECORDING, OPTIONAL AD REMOVAL

Recording and the local library are available without a subscription. The free edition may show a consent-aware banner only in Library or Settings, never on the Recorder view or during active recording. A one-time Google Play purchase removes banners permanently and can be restored with the purchasing Play account.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

Your audio and recording metadata stay on your device. Google User Messaging Platform manages applicable privacy choices, Google Mobile Ads supplies free-edition banners, and Google Play Billing processes the optional Remove Ads purchase. The privacy policy explains the limited data handled by those Google services.

MicKeep requires microphone access to record. Notifications are optional on current Android versions and support visible background recording status. Android 8 and 9 additionally require their legacy media-storage permission to publish files in Music/MicKeep.
