App Description
Eqo: Emergency SOS, rescue QR code scan and geolocated audible alert.
1. Service Overview
The Eqo app offers a real-time community safety and emergency reporting service. It allows you to send SOS requests, broadcast persistent audible alerts to your contacts and nearby users (within a 1000-meter radius), and activate geolocated emergency QR codes to protect your loved ones and property.
2. Account Registration and Responsibility
Data Accuracy: Users agree to provide accurate information when setting up their emergency contacts and profile.
Responsible Use: The app is intended exclusively for personal and community safety purposes. Any misuse (abusive triggering of false alerts, harassment, misuse of QR codes) may result in the immediate suspension or deletion of the account.
3. Alert Functionality and Limitations
Alert Range: Proximity alerts target Eqo users located within an estimated radius of 1000 meters. Alert reception depends on the device's active cellular or internet network.
Audible Alert: The audible alert ("persistent siren") is activated on the receiving device according to the permissions granted by that device in its mobile system settings.
Liability: Eqo is a technological assistance solution and in no way replaces official emergency services (police, fire department, ambulances). The publisher cannot be held liable for any delay or failure to deliver an alert due to network or hardware malfunctions.
4. Changes to the Terms
Eqo reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms of Service.
