How does my child learn?
Plingo contains several ‘mini-games’ designed to be engaging and instructive. Your child will learn the following:
★ Listening- The mini-games provide spoken challenges and feedback, with a wide range of characters. Your child’s ears will quickly learn to recognize words, grammatical constructs, and the rhythm and flow of English.
★ Speaking - That’s right, in some mini-games your child will control the action by speaking–starting with simple individual words and soon entire sentences! Our cutting-edge, industry-leading speech recognition has been rigorously tested with children from almost every country, mother-tongue, and dialect, and has over 99% accuracy in our controlled, pre-launch testing.
★ Vocabulary - With 5,000+ words and phrases and new ones added every week, your child will effortlessly build a strong vocabulary, in no time!
★ Reading - The mini-games offer both reading and listening, allowing your child to get comfortable with each skill!
★ Pronunciation - Many students learn incorrect pronunciation at an early age, developing an unnatural accent they are never able to get rid of. We make sure that doesn't happen, allowing your child to speak like a native! In the app, your child will systematically learn the 40 phonemes of English (the fundamental sounds of the language), deconstruct words they hear, assemble words from phonemes, and learn how to correctly pronounce them all.
