Companion Plus is an ideal solution for providers who want the flexibility of a mobile offering that extends the power and award-winning user experience of CareCloud’s practice management and electronic health record (EHR) solutions. With Companion, providers get a personalized view of their CareCloud experience optimized for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.

To use Companion, you must currently be using CareCloud Central, our practice management solution, or CareCloud Charts, our EHR solution.

Key features

With Companion, CareCloud Central users can:
- Create, edit, and cancel appointments
- Check in and check out patients
- View their personal schedules, along with multiple resources simultaneously
- View appointment summaries, including visit details and patient balances
- View patient demographic information
- View patient documents uploaded into the CareCloud system (e.g., insurance cards, statements)
- Add or update a patient’s avatar photo using the camera
- Contact a patient by phone, SMS, or email directly from their mobile device

With Companion, CareCloud Charts users can also:
- Create and send ePrescriptions or print prescriptions directly from the mobile device
- Review & sign incoming electronic lab results
- Approve medication refill requests
- Add clinical images to the patient charts using the camera
- View patient clinical summaries including medications, problems, allergies, vitals, labs, immunizations, and more
- Access patient clinical documents (e.g., x-rays, encounter notes)
