App Description
Simple IP lookup & geolocation
Look4IP is a fast, no-nonsense way to see the public IP address your device is using right now, plus basic network and approximate location details. It is designed for quick troubleshooting: open the app, copy what you need, and move on.
What you can do
• See your current public IP address
• See whether your connection is using IPv4 or IPv6
• View an approximate IP-based location (city/region/country when available)
• View network provider details (Autonomous System Number and provider name when available)
• Open the approximate location in your default maps app
• Copy or share results
• Look up details for any IPv4 or IPv6 address (not just your current IP)
• Look up details for a domain name (resolve the domain and view the IP + location/provider details)
Notes about accuracy and use
• IP geolocation is approximate. It can be wrong or overly broad, especially on mobile networks, VPNs, corporate networks, and large providers.
• Domain lookups may return different IPs over time (CDNs/load balancing) and results can vary by network/location.
• This data must not be used to identify a person, make eligibility decisions, or for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or similar purposes.
Privacy
• The app may collect coarse location derived from IP (country/region/city), device and OS details, app version, network provider details, and public IP for internal analytics and abuse prevention.
• Data is not used to identify you as a person.
Limitations
• Some IPs will return limited details (for example, large cloud providers may not return city/region).
• Private and local IP ranges cannot be geolocated.
• Some domains may return multiple IPs (or change IPs frequently), so results may differ from one lookup to the next.
