App Description
Funny offline tower defense: absurd gadgets, heroes and events vs. bureaucrats
Mad Lab Defense is a funny tower defense strategy game: build absurd science gadgets, mix wild lab reactions, lead heroes and stop gray bureaucrats. The campaign plays offline.
The Ministry of Normal has banned all fun science. Its gray army of clerks, inspectors and filing-cabinet tanks is marching on Dr. Max Sprocket's backyard lab. Luckily, Max has gadgets. Lots of gadgets.
NEW IN 1.0
• Lab HQ: a painterly backyard home screen with a big Continue button and every mode one tap away
• Lab Upgrades: permanent Attack, Defense and Economy upgrades researched on timers, plus lab income while you are away
• New heroes: Dr. Ada Volt, Bolt, Nana Nitro, Professor Kelp, each with two abilities, levels and star ranks. Earn them free by playing
• Level up all 24 gadgets with parts you earn
• Daily missions, a weekly chest and a 7-day login calendar that never punishes a skipped day
• Seasonal events with their own stages, currency and prize shop, starting with the Halloween Spooky Lab
• Lab Pass seasons with a free and a premium reward track
• Lab Run: 30-wave roguelite runs where you pick 1 of 3 experiments after every wave
• Weekly tournaments where everyone plays with the same lab
BUILD RIDICULOUS GADGETS
• 24 gadgets, from the Slime Lobber, Zap-Ray 3000 and Reverse Microwave to the Bunsen Blaster, Drone Dock, Flak Cannon and Skyhook Winch
• Each gadget evolves as you upgrade it and ends in one of two wild specializations, like the Mostly-Harmless Death Ray or the Sock Tornado
• Turn bureaucrats into sheep, send robot puppies across the map, call down toast from orbit, and pick 8 gadgets for each level
MIX 21 LAB REACTIONS
• Slime + Zap = SHORT CIRCUIT
• Frozen + Punch = SHATTER
• Stink + Zap = KA-FOOM!
• Sleeping + Punch = RUDE AWAKENING, and 17 more to discover
• Combos fill the Chaos Flask: unleash a Mega Experiment like the Slime Tsunami, Absolute Zero or the Mega Disco
OUTSMART THE GRAYFORCE
• Armored inspectors, shielded officers, healing HR mediators, flying stamp drones and filing cabinets that burst into angry memos
• Five worlds, from Sprocket's Backyard to the Drizzle Peak Weather Bureau and the flying Ministry of Air Affairs
• Five bosses, including Baron von Boring, Duchess Drizzle's weather blimp and Commissioner Helix's flying desk
A HERO WITH A JETPACK
• Move Dr. Max Sprocket around the map, level him up and use Jetpack Stomp and Overclock. Max and the bosses talk, with subtitles
LOTS TO DO
• 25 painterly, living levels in five worlds, with Casual, Normal and Veteran difficulty
• A new Daily Experiment every day, Boss Week, Lab Contracts, a weekly Endless map, plus Heroic and Iron challenges
• Leaderboards with fair, server-checked scores and funny generated lab names
• Ask Ohm, the lab's AI sidekick (13+), for tips while the game is paused. Optional, and you can delete your chats any time
FAIR PLAY AND PURCHASES
• Free to play: the whole campaign can be finished without paying, and every level and gadget unlocks by playing
• Optional purchases such as Lab Credits, bundles and cosmetics. Credit prices also show the real price, and bought credits never expire
• The Lab Card is a one-time 30-day purchase: credits now and a daily claim for 30 days. It does not renew
• Some offers and events are timed. Countdowns are real, and an offer's timer never resets
• Paid help is always off in Fair Play modes: Daily Experiment, Boss Week, Lab Contracts and the leaderboards
• Nothing you pay for is random: you always see what you get before you buy
• A parent can hide all purchases in Settings
• Automatic cloud backup when online, and a transfer code for a new phone
• The campaign plays offline. Events, purchases, leaderboards, backup and Ohm need internet
• In-game languages: English, Norsk, ไทย, Bahasa Indonesia, Tiếng Việt, Español, Português, Deutsch, Français, Türkçe, 日本語, 한국어, 简体中文, Italiano, Polski
